Human activities account for 2% of global warming?
Global warming is the heating and natural cooling of the earth. Sunlight is converted into heat energy. Energy is not absorbed by the Earth's surface is reflected back to space. Part of the reflected energy is absorbed by greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and is converted into heat. Global warming is green. The man made global warming is the result of greenhouse gases the atmosphere due to civilization, and industry. The amount of greenhouse gases from human activities is 2%. Not enough to cause a significant change on global climate. CO2 from natural sources emit about 300 gigatons of CO2 each year. Human activities are responsible for about 6 gigatons, or only 2% of total. Measures to a global network of surface stations in the past 40 years indicate an average annual increase of CO2 in the atmosphere of about 1%. http://oco.jpl.nasa.gov/science/
There are three glaring errors that I am surprised at the JPL site … • The figure of 6 million tonnes for the eastern U.S. Only • The complete list of emissions each country, compiled by the United Nations and in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_carbon_dioxide_emissions http://mdgs.un.org/unsd/mdg/SeriesDetail.aspx?srid=749 Wikipedia You will notice that the U.S. emissions are 6 billion tons of emissions worldwide are 28.4 billion tons. These are the figures for the year 2006, the figure for 2009 is 31 million tonnes. • Is it ignored the sequestered CO2 from natural sources • You will be well aware that the trees ( example) absorb CO2, not taken into account. All forms of biomass to produce 88 billion tons of CO2 per year and abduction of 90 billion tonnes, the seas and oceans produce 119 billion tons and 120 billion sequester tons. In all natural processes remove 3 billion tons of CO2 from the atmosphere each year. This is all part of the carbon cycle you can see here (the numbers may be slightly different from mine, but the net result is the same) http://www.uwsp.edu/geo/faculty/ritter/geog101/textbook / glossary / a_d / • carbon_cycle.html There are many greenhouse gases other than CO2 • There is also a large amount of CO2 emissions of greenhouse gases, primary including methane and nitrous oxide. These other gases contribute as much to global warming by 13 billion tons of CO2. Instead of issuing the nature 300 gigatons of CO2 per year, emits and absorbs 207 Gt 210 Gt, which means that nature acts as a carbon sink and removes more CO2 from the atmosphere to contribute. Humanity is not responsible for 6 gigatons of CO2 per year, but 29 and 13 Gt Gt other equivalence. There are 2100 million tons of CO2 into the atmosphere, we will increase the amount of 1,381% per annum, which means that in 72 years, our emissions will equal the total amount of CO2 already in the atmosphere. – - – - – - – - – Pedro – I explained how it arrived at my figures. Can you do the same or another random number pulled from the air?
