For years, scientists have warned against the effects of global warming and called if emissions of greenhouse gases have not been reduced by 80 percent within 40 years, Earth will suffer the devastating weather conditions and variations. These warnings apparently turning a deaf ear so far. The project climate bill, or "American Clean Energy and Security Act, restricted only by the House after a vote of 219-212 last Friday. This piece history that the legislature proposed rules to reduce the effects of global warming and the implementation of energy saving policies in the long term.
The companies will be penalized (after tax) for the production of excess greenhouse gases like carbon dioxide, 15% of the electricity shall from renewable sources such as wind and solar energy companies will be rewarded by the development of energy efficient models. Politics affect all sectors of the economy and should help create a flow of jobs in fields related to the environment.
Energy costs and gas must also increase as companies invest in new technologies.
One of the biggest areas to be affected by the law on climate change is the building industry. Car emissions could be significant, but the buildings are responsible for more energy consumption in the United States including all sectors of the transportation industry.
The bill intends to establish national codes of the efficiency of energy for construction new residential and commercial buildings. More than three quarters of existing structures in the United States must be new or refurbished by 2035. Any decision goal is reduce energy consumption by 75 percent. The implementation of these regulations will probably not held until about 2 years after implementing a policy. The proposed cuts are:
Immediate reduction of 30% (is not applied until 2012)
Reduction of 50% for residential and commercial in 2014 to 2015
55% reduction for residential business in 2017 and in 2018
60% reduction for residential and 2020 commercial in 2021
Any further reduction continue gradually until 2029, when a decline of 75% for the year 2030 for residential and commercial buildings.
If, however, the Energy Department decides that one of the above objectives are not profitable, established new goals.
How will the new De the construction industry of Bill?
At least initially, there will be a boom in jobs in the energy industry. There is a demand for energy assessors carrying out door fan test any air leaks, energy assessors, contractors insulation, high-performance windows, furnace and appliance dealers and other energy saving products in the home.
Utility company growth expectations will be drastically reduced. Expansion plans or budgets for building new plants is no longer needed in May.
To achieve high levels of savings, renewable energy sources such as solar energy Wind will be used. This is probably going to create more jobs, that gives this industry a needed boost.
Builders or sink or swim. Please not adapt to new requirements and technologies, will lose others to do so. They turn to consultants for the creation of energy to meet a need increasing education and technical advice.
We are already seeing a trend where buyers are rejected by mcmansion, moving towards smaller, energy efficient homes. Energy Star appliances are common, as heat pumps and other energy saving devices. The bill must still pass the climate in the Senate but is a good start, and we expect a tendency to promote greater awareness, the building industry.
